About Me

Hello visitor, My name is Emilio and I am a Certified General electrician in  Northern California. I have worked in the construction industry for over 15 years and I am very passionate about the trade. I went through an apprenticeship and worked for various electrical contractors on a variety of interesting projects. There always seems like there is something new to learn, whether it’s a new Lutron system or how to manage electricians efficiently. One of the best ways an electrician can keep gainfully employed is by learning and gaining more knowledge of his craft and that is something I strive to do on a daily basis.

When I first got into the trade I didn’t know anyone or anything about it. It was just something that I always wanted to do. I remember receiving a letter informing me that I had been accepted to an apprenticeship and that I need to buy these tools. Well like many new apprentices I didn’t have the funds or knowledge on what to buy. “What the heck are Side Cutters?” I thought to myself, and if you’ve ever had the experience of asking for help at the Home Depot you will quickly find out that there is a 50/50 chance the retail worker doesn’t know either.

To make matters worst, I was on a tight budget and these tools can be pretty expensive for a soon to be apprentice.

Unfortunately for me, I bought some of the wrong tools or tools of poor quality. Those poor quality tools got a few laughs at my expense on the jobsite. I still remember the remark one old timer said to me, “Where did you get that? Your mom’s sewing box.” It makes me laugh when I think about that and I still get to use it on new apprentices today.

Electrician’s like all other trade’s people work hard for their money. They could use a place that let’s them hear from others in the profession, if  a tool is quality or not.

Well, that’s why I made this website. Not only to help new apprentices but for all electricians in the trade who could use reliable information on tools and where to find a good deal.

So thanks for stopping by and I hope you find the information offered here useful.
